A Flying Visit

I'm just looked in to tell you all babies,
There's five of them all in one nest in
yonder hawthorn tree.
I'm teaching them to sing, you know
as yet one cannot sing.
But Specklebreast, I'm told will have a
lovely voice one day.
I think I hear them calling me and so I must not stay,
I know you will not mind if I a flying visit pay.
Of course five baby birdies all one's spare time occupy,
I'll call again one day and tell you something more
Good-bye

About Nursery Rhymes

A nursery rhyme is a traditional song or poem taught to young children, originally in the nursery. Learning nursery rhymes assists in the development of vocabulary and in some cases basic counting skills. It also introduces children to enjoy music. Often actions, movement or dances are associated with these nursery rhymes and children songs.
