Sail and visit Duyfken

The 16th century replica Duyfken is now berthed at Marlin Wharf, Marlin Marina, Cairns. Duyfken was the first recorded European ship to visit Australia.

Duyfken is open to the public from 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm every day as a floating museum. Come and see what life was like on a 16th century sailing ship and learn about Australia's earliest maritime history.

There is also limited opportunities to sail on board. If you are interested, Duyfken also needs volunteers, come help out, guide visitors around the ship, sleep overnight in a hammock or help tar the rig. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm
